A Letter from the Nazareth Church Council
December 15, 2009
Dear Members of Nazareth,
At the December 7 meeting of the Nazareth Church Council, a motion was passed to call a special congregational meeting at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010 to vote on extending a call to Pastor Brian C. King to serve as senior pastor of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In accordance with bylaws, Pastor King has been invited to preach at all services on January 3, 2010. There will also be an opportunity for the congregation to get to know Pastor King at 2:00 p.m. that same afternoon.
Copies of the biographical material on Pastor King, as well as the Call Committee Report, are available on the church website at www.naz.org, at the church office, or at the Information Desk on Sunday mornings.
Please pray for God’s continued guidance as we discern His direction for mission and service within the Kingdom.

At a Special Congregational Meeting called on Sunday, January 10, 2010, the congregation voted "yes" on the resolution to extend a call to Pastor Brian King to become Senior Pastor of Nazareth.
Pastor King has accepted the call and will preach his first sermon as Senior Pastor of Nazareth on Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
Update: The installation service for Pastor King took place Sunday, February 14.
