New Creation Accountability Groups:
Discover God's Desire for You to Grow Personally
and with Others Through Accountability

New Creation Accountability Groups are forming NOW!
Some people are looking for people to invite to join a group. Others need help making a connection. If you want to be part of a New Creation Group, pick up a brochure, fill out the registration form, and return it to the Information Desk on Sunday morning or to the church office during the week. You’ll be contacted regarding groups or individuals you can connect with to create your own New Creation Group.

New Creation Groups Q & A Brochure

Nazareth invites you to participate in a new kind of small group: the New Creation Accountability Group. Our process of spiritual renewal – in worship, study, prayer, and fellowship – continues with these special groups designed to foster accountability in ourselves and one another.

New Creation Groups are groups of three people, all of the same gender, who meet weekly for personal accountability and encouragement in their spiritual growth and development. There is no curriculum or training needed.

New Creation Groups assume that we need each other to hear, discern, test, and obey God’s truth and that God calls us to carry one another’s burdens with humility and gentleness, not judgment.

The accountability consists of three essential disciplines for spiritual growth:
   Confessing personal sin
   Reading and interacting with Scripture
Praying for others who need Christ

Accountability Groups: Q & A

Q: What is a New Creation Group?
A: New Creation Groups are groups of three people, all of the same gender, who meet weekly for personal accountability and encouragement in their spiritual growth and development. There is no curriculum or training needed.

Q: Why do I need this accountability group?
A: New Creation Groups create a safe place for you to share and pray with a few close friends in Christ, a place where you have the privilege to help and support one another on your spiritual journey.

Q: What will be expected of me?
A: Each group will learn to practice three essential spiritual disciplines designed to help you grow: confessing personal sin, reading and interacting with Scripture, and praying for others who need Christ.

Q: What does "confessing sin" mean?
A: There are times in every person’s life when new habits must be developed with the help of the Holy Spirit and the community in order to overcome sin. The New Creation Group is designed to help you remember and practice your commitments before God and the community.
